How Your CLCR™ Score Works
Paying rent and splitting utility bills on time already proves you're financially responsible — the traditional credit system just doesn't always notice. RentCreditBoost™ turns those same everyday payments into a clear credibility metric: your CLCR™ Score.
What Is Your CLCR™ Score?
CLCR™ stands for CreditLink Credibility Report — the metric behind every CredibilityReport™ we generate for you. It's a 500–1000 measure of how reliably you pay the bills that make up everyday life: rent first, utilities alongside it. Where a traditional credit score is built from loans and credit cards, your CLCR™ Score is built from the payments most renters are already making every month, whether or not those payments show up anywhere else yet.
It isn't a lending score, and it doesn't replace your credit report — it's a faster, clearer read on the same reliability, sitting right next to the real credit history we're reporting to TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax on your behalf.
Why a Second Score, Alongside FICO®?
FICO® — the score most lenders actually check — is built almost entirely from credit cards and loans. Rent, the single largest payment most renters make every month, and the utility bills that go with it, have traditionally gone unrecorded unless someone specifically reports them. That isn't a reflection of how reliable you are; it's a blind spot in what the traditional system was ever built to see.
That blind spot is exactly why so many renters end up “credit invisible” or stuck with a thin file — a genuinely strong payment history with no score to show for it. And even once rent reporting starts, a FICO® score can take months to visibly move, since it weighs account age and mix alongside payment behavior.
Your CLCR™ Score is built to respond to that same reliability immediately, using data FICO® was never designed to weigh, while your real rent payments report to the bureaus in the background. It's a second, faster-moving number — not a replacement for your credit score, and not something lenders see — just a closer, quicker mirror of the credibility you're already building.

Whatever Else Is Going On, Your Rent History Still Counts
Debt you're paying down. A career in transition. The cost of rebuilding after a divorce. None of it changes whether your rent showed up on time — and that reliability deserves to be recognized on its own, not lost inside a score that's also weighing everything else you're carrying. If you've paid rent on time, every time, your CLCR™ Score is built to reflect exactly that.
The Five Pillars of Your Score
Five straightforward inputs determine your master score, each carrying its own share of the total:
Rent Payment History
35%Your monthly rent is the foundation of the whole profile. A clean, on-time history builds the strongest possible baseline for your score — a missed payment is the one thing that moves it the most.
Utility Track Record
25%How reliably you keep up with secondary accounts — electricity, water, internet — reported the same way your rent is. A slip here costs far less than a slip on rent.
Payment Velocity
20%The streak engine: every consecutive on-time month builds active momentum that lifts your score right away. One late payment resets the streak to zero, so the fastest way back up is simply to start again.
Account Longevity
10%Time on the platform is its own asset. This pillar rises steadily the longer your accounts stay active and reporting — there is no shortcut for it beyond staying enrolled.
Profile Depth
10%Verifying and reporting multiple accounts at once earns this pillar directly. Three or more active accounts — rent plus two utilities is enough — unlocks its full 10%.
Utility Track Record — and the 3-account mix that unlocks full Profile Depth — comes with the annual Boost plan. Basic reports your ongoing rent on its own, no utilities required. See what's included in each.
The Built-In Healing Effect
Past mistakes fade rather than stay — inside your CLCR™ Score, specifically. Late or missed rent is never reported to the bureaus in the first place, so a setback here never touches your real credit file. Within the score itself, though, a late payment weighs the most the month it happens, then loses influence the older it gets: its impact is roughly cut in half after a year, and it ages out of the score entirely after two. Keep a clean current streak and the recovery happens on its own — you don't have to wait a setback out to start climbing again.
