Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 2, 2026
Welcome to RentCreditBoost™, a service provided by CreditLink® (“CreditLink”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain how our rent reporting service works and what you agree to when you use it. By creating an account, enrolling in the service, or using RentCreditBoost™ in any way, you agree to these terms.
1. What This Service Does
RentCreditBoost™ helps report qualifying rent payment information to one or more consumer reporting agencies such as Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, or to other reporting partners we may use from time to time.
We may collect rent payment information from you, your landlord or property manager, your bank account data if you choose to connect it, or other authorized sources.
Our goal is to help renters build credit by reporting positive rental payment history where allowed and where we can verify it. We do not promise that your credit score will increase and we do not control how any consumer reporting agency uses the information we send.
2. Who Can Use the Service
To use RentCreditBoost™, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide us with accurate and complete information.
- Live in an area where our services are available.
- Be authorized to enroll the rental account you are trying to report.
- Get any needed permission from co-tenants or other required parties, if applicable.
We may not be able to offer the service in every state, property type, or rental situation.
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree that the information you give us is true, current, and complete.
You must not:
- Submit false or altered documents.
- Claim rent payments that were not actually paid.
- Enroll a rental account without permission.
- Try to misuse or manipulate the reporting process.
If you see a mistake in your account or in the information we reported, please contact us as soon as possible at support@rentcreditboost.com.
4. How We Verify Rent Payments
We may verify rent payments in one or more ways, including:
- Confirming information with your landlord or property manager.
- Reviewing bank transactions via a connected bank account.
- Manual review of documents you submit.
If we cannot verify your rental payment information, we may delay, stop, or decide not to report certain information.
5. Fees and Payment
Participation in RentCreditBoost™ is optional. If you choose to enroll, you agree to pay the monthly/annual fee before signing up. The monthly fee will never be more than the lesser of:
- $10 per month, or
- $120 per year, or
- Our actual cost to provide the service.
If our actual cost to provide the service is zero, we will not charge you a fee.
We will clearly show you the fee before you finish enrolling. You will not be charged unless you choose to sign up for the service.
We may bill the fee monthly using the payment method you authorize. If a payment is declined, we may pause reporting, ask you to update your payment method, or end your enrollment.
Cancellation & Refund Policy: You may cancel your enrollment at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting customer support at support@rentcreditboost.com.
- Full Refund Eligibility: You are eligible for a 100% full refund of fees paid ONLY IF your rent payment history has not yet been submitted or reported to any consumer reporting agency or reporting partner at the time your cancellation request is received.
- Non-Refundable Status: Once your rent payment data has been verified and transmitted to one or more credit bureaus or reporting partners, your fee becomes non-refundable, except where explicitly required by applicable law.
If your account is enrolled in a California offer covered by AB 2747, fees and related disclosures will adhere to applicable statutory requirements.
6. Ending Your Enrollment
You may end your enrollment at any time via your account dashboard or by reaching out to support@rentcreditboost.com.
Ending your enrollment immediately stops future recurring billing and halts any future data reporting. However, canceling your account does not retroactively remove or delete rent history that has already been submitted to consumer reporting agencies. Refunds upon cancellation are governed strictly by the eligibility criteria outlined in Section 5 (Fees and Payment).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service immediately if we reasonably believe you have provided fraudulent information, failed to pay applicable fees, violated these Terms of Service, or engaged in abusive reporting behavior.
7. Permission to Use and Share Information
By enrolling in RentCreditBoost™, you give us permission to:
- Access your rental payment records and related account information.
- Ask your landlord, property manager, or bank for information needed to verify your payments.
- Share your information with consumer reporting agencies and service providers that help us run the service.
- Use third-party tools to help verify your identity, eligibility, and payment history.
We use your information only for purposes related to providing and improving the service, supporting reporting, and meeting legal or compliance requirements.
8. Bank Account Linking
If you choose to link a bank account, you authorize our third-party data providers and us to access transaction information needed to verify rent payments.
We do not use bank linking to move money, make payments, or manage your bank account. We do not store your bank login credentials.
If you disconnect your bank account, we may no longer be able to verify future rent payments through that method.
9. Disputes and Corrections
If you believe something we reported is wrong, let us know right away. We may request documents or other information to help us review the issue.
If we determine that something is inaccurate or incomplete, we may correct it, update it, or stop reporting it. If needed, we may also notify the consumer reporting agency or other reporting partner that received the information.
Consumer reporting laws may require furnishers of information to investigate and correct inaccurate information when a dispute is raised through proper channels.
10. No Credit Advice
We are not a credit repair company, debt collector, lender, broker, financial advisor, or law firm.
We do not give legal, tax, or credit advice. We also do not promise that rent reporting will improve your credit score or help you qualify for credit.
11. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Please read our Privacy Policy below to understand how we collect, use, store, and share your information.
12. Service is Provided “As Is”
We provide RentCreditBoost™ “as is” and “as available”.
We do not promise that:
- Your rent data will be accepted by every reporting agency.
- Your credit score will increase.
- Any lender or landlord will use the reported information in a certain way.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CreditLink® will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount of fees paid to us in the three months before the event that caused the claim.
Some laws may not allow certain limits, so some parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute related to these Terms or the service will be resolved through individual binding arbitration, except where the law allows a claim to be brought in court for injunctive or other equitable relief.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you as required by law.
If you continue to use RentCreditBoost™ after the updated Terms become effective, that means you accept the changes.

Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 8, 2026
At RentCreditBoost™ (a service of CreditLink®), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personally identifiable information (PII) and financial data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our rent reporting platform, ensuring compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and relevant state privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our services and satisfy legal requirements, we collect several types of information:
- Personal Identity Data: Name, date of birth, Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), physical address, email address, and phone number.
- Lease & Rental Data: Landlord or property manager contact details, lease agreements, rent amounts, due dates, and historic payment records.
- Financial & Bank Transaction Data: When you link a bank account via our third-party data aggregators (e.g., Plaid), we collect transaction data, account balances, and account numbers necessary to isolate and verify your rental payments. We do not see or store your bank login passwords.
- KYC Verification Data: Government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license, passport), utility bills, or selfie biometric data used strictly to verify your identity.
2. Know Your Customer (KYC) and Identity Verification
To prevent identity theft, financial fraud, and money laundering, RentCreditBoost™ implements strict Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols.
Why we verify: Credit bureaus require absolute certainty that the payment history being added to a credit profile belongs to the correct individual. Misreporting data to the wrong credit file violates federal law.
- Verification Process: We use automated third-party identity verification services to match the PII you provide against public records and credit bureau databases.
- Document Inspection: You may be required to upload a clear photograph of a government-issued ID. In some instances, our vendor may use facial recognition technology to compare your ID photo to a selfie to ensure authenticity.
- Compliance Checks: Your information may be screened against government watchlists (such as the OFAC Sanctions List) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Refusal of Service: If your identity cannot be verified to our standards or the standards of our credit bureau partners, we reserve the right to deny or terminate your account immediately.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data strictly for business operations, including:
- Verifying your identity through our KYC protocols.
- Formatting and securely transmitting your rental payment history to major Credit Reporting Agencies (CRAs) like Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
- Communicating with your landlord or property management company to verify lease details.
- Maintaining, optimizing, and auditing our platform’s performance and security.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third-party marketers. We only share your data under the following circumstances:
- With Credit Bureaus: Your verified identity and rental payment history are transmitted directly to national CRAs to potentially build your credit history.
- With Service Providers: We share data with trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf, including identity verification (KYC) providers, secure bank-linking networks, and cloud hosting platforms. These vendors are contractually bound to protect your data.
- For Legal & Regulatory Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of CreditLink®, our users, or the public.
5. Data Security and Retention
We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your sensitive financial information:
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS) and at rest using advanced encryption standards (AES-256).
- Retention: We retain your KYC documentation and transaction history for as long as your account is active, or as required by applicable laws and regulations (such as financial record-keeping laws and the FCRA). Once the retention period expires, your data is securely deleted or anonymized.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your state of residence, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Access & Correction: The right to request access to the data we hold about you and request corrections to inaccurate information.
- Account Deletion: The right to request that we delete your account and personal data (subject to legal, regulatory, or transactional retention requirements).
- Opting Out of Bank Linking: You can disconnect your bank account at any time, though this will stop automated payment verification.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our services are directed strictly to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our platform and updating the “Last Updated” date.
